The Rotary Club of San Carlos-Guaymas was founded in 1975 through the vision and leadership of a group of citizens committed to their community’s development. That same year, Rotary International officially recognized the Club’s founding and congratulated Arch. Wilfrido Aldana R., elected as Founding President, for leading this new service project.

From its earliest days, the Club committed to actions with a lasting impact on the community. Over the years, education became one of its core pillars, giving rise to scholarship programs, school infrastructure improvements, and projects designed to open doors for children and young people across the region.

Today, nearly five decades later, that commitment remains just as strong. What began as the initiative of a small group of leaders has grown into a legacy of service that has helped hundreds of students complete their education and become doctors, engineers, architects, lawyers, teachers, and professionals who now give back to their own communities.

Our history isn’t measured by the passing of time, but by the lives we’ve had the privilege to transform.
